Valley Stream State Park
This is a day-use only facility with no overnight camping. The park is open year-round, sunrise to sunset, closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Vehicle fees ($8 per car) are collected seasonally April through October.

Valley Stream State Park is a day-use picnic facility located in Nassau County on Long Island, New York. Covering approximately 97 acres, the park provides a green retreat for residents of the densely populated surrounding area. Facilities include picnic areas with tables, fireplaces, and grills, making it popular for family gatherings and group outings. The park features two nature trails (Squirrel Nut and Hickory Nut), a walking course with 15 exercise stations, and sports facilities including horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and ball fields. A children's playground is also available. In winter, the park offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities. There is no overnight camping at Valley Stream State Park. The park operates as a day-use facility only, open sunrise to sunset year-round except Christmas Day and New Year's Day. One pavilion is available for rental accommodating up to 300 people.
