The Chatfield Hollow Picnic Shelter is a reservable day-use pavilion located within Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth, Connecticut. The 20x30 ft open-air shelter can accommodate up to 50 guests and comes equipped with six picnic tables and two pedestal grills. A fire ring is also available nearby. The shelter sits along Chatfield Hollow Brook, offering a scenic backdrop for group gatherings. The location is convenient to park amenities: approximately 300 feet from parking, 75 feet from restrooms, 1,000 feet from the swimming beach, and 800 feet from fishing areas. Hiking trails begin just 75 feet away. This is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping permitted. The park operates daily from 8:00 AM until sunset. Note that amplified music, bounce houses, and play equipment are prohibited at the shelter. Pets are not permitted at the picnic shelter area, though they are allowed on leash elsewhere in the park (except the beach and pond areas).
