About

Cascade Campground is located 18 miles east of St. Regis on Highway 135, nestled in the canyon bottom along the Clark Fork River. The forested setting features Douglas-fir, ponderosa pine, and western larch providing abundant shade. The campground offers standard single sites and one group site, all back-in only, accommodating RVs up to 27-35 feet depending on the site. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water from a hand-pump well, fire rings and picnic tables at every site, and garbage service. A primitive boat ramp across the highway provides access to the Clark Fork River for fishing and boating. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a self-serve fee station and no host on-site. The historic Iron Mountain Trail #242 terminus is located within the campground. This trail follows an 1887 wagon road built to haul silver ore from the Iron Mountain mine. A short 0.4-mile hike leads to an overlook with valley views, and 1.4 miles along the trail is a viewpoint for Cascade Falls.
