Carolina Beach State Park sits on 761 acres along Snow's Cut in New Hanover County, 12 miles south of Wilmington. The family campground is nestled in a wooded area and offers 69 standard campsites and 10 sites with full RV hookups (water, electric, and sewer). Electric hookups accommodate 50-amp, 30-amp, and 20-amp services, with long driveways suitable for RVs of all sizes. All sites include a picnic table and either a grill or fire ring. Six camping cabins are also available, each sleeping up to six people with heating, air conditioning, and electricity. The park features a modern bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets, potable water spigots throughout the campground, and trash and recycling facilities. Two group campsites accommodate 26 and 40 people respectively, located along the Swamp Trail about 400 yards from the parking area. The park is renowned for its 8.5 miles of hiking trails that traverse diverse habitats including maritime forests, swamps, and wetlands, and is one of the few places to see the Venus flytrap in its native habitat. A full-service marina provides boat launches and access to excellent fishing on the Cape Fear River and Intracoastal Waterway. The campground is just 2 miles from the beach, making it an ideal base for a coastal vacation.

Located off US 421 in New Hanover County on Dow Road, 10 miles south of Wilmington. From Raleigh, take Interstate 40 east.
