About

Cedar Point Campground occupies a prime location in eastern North Carolina where the White Oak River flows into Bogue Sound, immediately adjacent to Swansboro Inlet. The setting blends salt marsh and coastal forest ecosystems within the 160,000-acre Croatan National Forest. All 36 campsites feature electric hookups (20/30/50 amp), paved surfaces, fire rings, and picnic tables, with sites accommodating vehicles up to 65 feet. The modern bathhouse includes flush toilets and four private hot showers. A dump station with potable water connection serves RVs. Water is available at local hydrants rather than individual sites. A shallow-draft boat launch and fishing pier provide direct access to the river, popular for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking through the maze of salt marsh canals. The Tidelands National Trail offers 1.9 miles of hiking divided into two loops, with opportunities to spot ospreys and occasional dolphins. The campground sits within 1 mile of full-service shopping in Swansboro and 2 miles of the Crystal Coast beaches on Bogue Banks.
