Mash Fork Campground serves as the primary developed camping area at Camp Creek State Park and Forest in southern West Virginia. Situated along the park's creek system, the campground provides 26 sites catering to both tent and RV campers with tiered utility options. Nine sites offer electric hookups only, eight provide water and electric connections, and nine feature full hookups including sewer. All sites include picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. The campground's standout feature is its heated bathhouse with flush toilets and showers, which operates year-round. This makes Mash Fork one of the few West Virginia state park campgrounds suitable for winter camping when weather permits. Reservations can be made online through the West Virginia State Parks booking system, by calling the state call center, or directly through the park office (though the office closes December through February). Weekend stays from Memorial Day through Labor Day require a two-night minimum. Camp Creek State Park encompasses over 5,300 acres of Appalachian forest with hiking trails, fishing opportunities along Camp Creek and Mash Fork, and hunting access in the adjacent state forest lands. The park's location near the junction of I-77 and I-64 makes it a convenient stopover for travelers exploring the Mountain State.
