Cabin Colony offers a comfortable cabin stay at Brannan Island State Recreation Area, situated in the heart of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The park occupies the lower peninsular extension of Brannan Island, bordered by the Sacramento River to the west, Three Mile Slough to the southeast, and Seven Mile Slough to the northeast. This location provides excellent access to Delta waterways for boating, windsurfing, swimming, and fishing. The cabin sleeps up to 4 guests and includes air conditioning, heating, and a private bathroom. As with all California State Parks cabin rentals, linens and bedding are not provided and must be brought by guests. The park offers flush restrooms, showers, drinking water, and an RV dump station. A ten-lane boat launch provides access to prime fishing waters with striped bass, black bass, sturgeon, catfish, bluegill, perch, and bullhead available year-round. The nearby Little Frank's Tract wetland marsh supports diverse wildlife including beaver, muskrat, river otter, mink, and over 76 bird species. The Delta climate is mild year-round, with summer temperatures ranging from 75-95°F and winter temperatures between 45-55°F.
