Bull Mountain Campground
Closed — Closed for the season. The access road is closed to motor vehicles from November 15 through June 15 annually. The campground typically reopens in mid-June when the access road opens.

About
Bull Mountain Campground is a minimally developed dispersed camping area located in the Sulphur Ranger District of Arapaho National Forest in Grand County, Colorado. This free campground operates without individually numbered campsites and lacks standard amenities such as picnic tables and fire rings at most sites. The area sits at high elevation with most campsites offering limited shade. Access is via County Road 4 and Forest Roads 123 and 835.2, approximately 6.5 miles from Highway 34. The campground experiences heavy usage during its operating season and provides only vault toilets with no potable water available. Campers must bring their own water and be prepared for primitive camping conditions. The remote location offers solitude and access to the surrounding national forest for hiking and exploring. The access road to Bull Mountain Campground closes to motor vehicles annually from November 15 through June 15 due to winter conditions, making the campground inaccessible for most of the year. During the open season, the campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system.
Directions
From Highway 34, turn left onto County Road 4 and travel approximately 4.5 miles. Turn left on Forest Road 123 and continue approximately 2 miles to Forest Road 835.2, which enters the campground.
