About
Bull Mountain Campground is a primitive dispersed camping area in Arapaho National Forest in Grand County, Colorado. This minimally developed site does not have individually numbered campsites, making it a true dispersed camping experience. The campground lacks standard amenities including picnic tables and fire rings, and most sites offer little to no shade. The only facility provided is a vault toilet. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. No fees are required to camp here. The area sees heavy use during the open season. Access is via Highway 34 to County Road 4, then Forest Road 123 to NFSR 835.2. The access road is closed to motor vehicles between November 15 and June 15 each year due to seasonal conditions. During the closure period, the campground can only be accessed on foot or by other non-motorized means.
Directions
Take Highway 34 to County Road 4. Turn left and go approximately 4.5 miles, then turn left on Forest Road 123 and go approximately two miles to NFSR 835.2 which enters the campground.
