Closed — Open dawn to dusk year-round for day use only. This park does not offer overnight camping. Construction on improvement projects continues through summer 2025 with completion expected by spring 2026. During construction, temporary toilets, boat launch, restaurant, and green space remain available. Playground is closed during construction.

About
Buffalo Harbor State Park is the first state park located within the city of Buffalo, offering beautiful views of Lake Erie. This day-use facility features a 1,100-slip marina operated by Safe Harbor Marina, multiple boat and personal watercraft launches, a fish cleaning station, and Charlie's Boat Yard restaurant. The park includes a pier and boardwalk for strolling, a nautical-themed playground, and three pavilions available for rental that accommodate 75 to 130 people. Construction on the Buffalo Harbor Improvement Project is ongoing through summer 2025 with completion expected by spring 2026. During construction, temporary toilets, boat launch, restaurant, and green space remain open. The kayak launch opens Memorial Day weekend. The park is open dawn to dusk with free vehicle parking, though an $8 launch fee applies (all park passes accepted). This is a day-use park only and does not offer overnight camping facilities. The park is adjacent to Tifft Nature Preserve and provides access to biking, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, and windsurfing. Pets are allowed on leash up to 6 feet in length in day-use areas. Swimming and hunting are not permitted.
