About

Evangola State Park spans 733 acres along Lake Erie in southern Erie County, 27 miles south of Buffalo. The park's defining feature is its beautiful one-mile arc-shaped natural sand beach bordered by low cliffs of Angola shale. The campground, located at the south end of the park, offers 80 wooded campsites arranged in two loops, all equipped with electric and water hookups. In addition to traditional campsites, the park features 6 yurts and 1 cabin overlooking Lake Erie, providing unique accommodation options for campers. The fully-equipped campground includes modern amenities such as flush restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, and laundry facilities. Tennis courts are available within the campground area. The beach is within easy walking distance of the campsites. Campers can explore several nature trails, enjoy fishing on Lake Erie, or participate in activities like basketball, volleyball, and baseball. The park also offers picnic facilities, pavilions, and playgrounds. Most facilities are accessible to disabled visitors. During warmer months, lifeguarded swimming is available at the beach, though swimming availability may be affected by water quality or staffing conditions.
