About

Brady Mountain Day-Use Area sits on the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ouachita in the Ouachita Mountains, approximately 10 miles west of Hot Springs National Park. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this facility provides a day-use pavilion that can be reserved for group gatherings, equipped with electrical hookups, picnic tables, and lighting. The area features a swim beach, boat ramp, bathroom facility, and an accessible nature trail. Visitors can explore the lake via the Geo-Float Trail, a 16-mile self-guided water-based interpretive trail stretching from Spillway Recreation Area to Brady Mountain. Popular activities include boating, fishing, swimming, and scuba diving among the remains of the flooded mountain valley. This is a day-use only facility with no overnight camping. For overnight camping at Lake Ouachita, visitors should look to Brady Mountain Campground, which is a separate facility.
