About

Bowl and Pitcher Campground is the main overnight camping area at Riverside State Park, located where the Spokane River carves through dramatic basalt rock formations. The campground features 32 sites split between standard tent sites and RV sites with partial or full hookups. Two restroom buildings with showers serve campers, and a dump station is available seasonally. The iconic Bowl and Pitcher suspension bridge, originally constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, connects the campground to an extensive trail network on the opposite riverbank. Trails accommodate hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The river provides opportunities for fishing and paddling, with Class II rapids nearby. Two ADA-accessible cabins offer year-round lodging for those seeking a roofed accommodation. The historic CCC Kitchen Shelter is available for group reservations. The campground operates seasonally for most sites (April 1 to October 15), though some sites and cabins remain open year-round.
