About

Bowl and Pitcher Campground serves as the main campground in Riverside State Park, one of Washington's largest state parks with 9,194 acres. The campground is nestled along the scenic Spokane River amongst towering ponderosa pines, offering a peaceful setting minutes from downtown Spokane. The campground features 32 total sites including 16 standard campsites and 16 partial hookup sites with electricity and water. An iconic swinging bridge connects the campground to miles of trails on the opposite side of the Spokane River, providing access to excellent hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing opportunities. The campground is well-equipped with two modern restrooms with showers, one dump station, and a maximum site length of 45 feet with one pull-through site available. Two tent-only group sites accommodate larger parties. The area is known for the unique geological Bowl and Pitcher rock formations carved by the Spokane River. Recreational opportunities include whitewater floating on the Spokane River, fishing, and wildlife viewing. In winter, the area offers snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The historic CCC Kitchen Shelter and day-use picnic areas are also available nearby.
