About

Nine Mile Recreation Area Campground is located at the eastern end of Lake Spokane within the expansive Riverside State Park. This seasonal campground serves as a popular base for water-based recreation on the reservoir created by Nine Mile Dam on the Spokane River. The campground offers 24 total sites arranged in two main rows, with one set on a ridge and another on a grassy area. Three sites accommodate tent camping, while 21 RV sites provide hookup options, including 17 partial hookup sites (electric and water) and 4 full hookup sites (electric, water, and sewer). All sites are back-in configuration. The maximum RV length varies by site. Water recreation is the main draw, with a dual-lane boat launch that accommodates motorized and non-motorized watercraft, two docks, and a designated swimming area. The campground includes modern restrooms with showers, a dump station, and a boat wash station. Each site features a picnic table and fire pit. The surrounding Riverside State Park offers 80 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, as well as access to the Spokane River for experienced whitewater enthusiasts.

Directions

From Spokane, head northwest on WA-291 for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto W Charles Road and continue for about 2 miles to reach the Nine Mile Recreation Area entrance.
