About

Boswell Creek Campground is located in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Albany County, Wyoming. The site sits at approximately 9,000 feet elevation in the mountains southwest of Laramie. This appears to be a primitive or dispersed camping area that is not currently listed in the USFS developed campground database or on Recreation.gov. Access is via Highway 230 southwest of Laramie, then east on National Forest System Road 526. Campers should be prepared for rustic conditions with minimal to no developed facilities. The Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest offers numerous camping opportunities ranging from developed campgrounds to dispersed camping throughout its nearly 3 million acres. From Laramie, travel 38 miles southwest on Highway 230, then 3 miles east on National Forest System Road 526.
