About
Bluff Creek Campground occupies a prime lakefront location on Walter F. George Lake, also known as Lake Eufaula, which stretches 85 miles up the Chattahoochee River along the Alabama-Georgia border. The campground provides 77 sites equipped with electric hookups (20/30/50 amp) and water connections, accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 36 feet. Sites include fire pits, picnic tables, lantern poles, and paved driveways. Facilities include three bathhouses with flush toilets and showers, laundry machines, a dump station, fish cleaning stations, and a boat ramp. A group picnic shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The surrounding mixed hardwood forests support abundant wildlife including deer, waterfowl, eagles, hawks, and bobcats. The Chattahoochee River lakes are renowned for fishing, with largemouth bass, white bass, hybrids, crappie, channel catfish, and bream throughout the 640 miles of shoreline. The historic town of Eufaula, Alabama is nearby, featuring over 20 structures on the National Register of Historic Places including antebellum mansions.
