Alcohol Prohibitions

This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.

Aquatic Invasive Species

This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.

Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products

This Order prohibits unloading, storing, or using any straw, hay, grain, seed, or other forage or mulch products that are not state-certified weed free on the National Forest System lands, roads or trails in any Closure Area as specific in the Order.

Food Storage Order: 06-21-00-21-02

The goal of this special order is to minimize the potential for bears and other wildlife to access human foods. Animals that have repeatedly obtained unsecured human foods can learn to associate the presence of humans with a food reward and begin to lose their natural fear of man.

Aquatic Invasive Species Order: 06-00-00-21-01

This order prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species on the national Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region.

About

Beth Lake Campground is located in the Tonasket Ranger District of Colville National Forest, offering 15 campsites arranged in two small loops. The campground provides unique access to both Beth Lake and Beaver Lake through boat launches at either end of the facility. The southern launch accesses Beaver Lake, while the northern launch accesses Beth Lake and is located near an earthen dam. The campground serves as a trailhead for the Beth Lake Trail #316, which can be accessed near the earthen dam. Fishing opportunities are available in both lakes, though a Washington state fishing license is required. Boating is permitted with an 8 mph maximum speed limit in a no-wake zone. The campground features vault toilets and picnic tables at each site, with a garbage dumpster available for campground users only. Operating on a first-come, first-served basis, the campground is open from May 1 through October 27 annually. Sites are $10 per night with no day use fee required. The facility enforces quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and visitors are limited to a maximum stay of 14 consecutive days. Campfires are only allowed in developed fire pits, and all food and wildlife attractants must be properly stored at all times.

Directions

From Tonasket, take State Route 20 East for 24 miles to County Road 4953 (Bonaparte Recreation Area). Take County Road 4953 5.5 miles where it turns into Forest Service Road 32. Continue on Forest Service Road 32 for 7 miles to Beaver Lake and the junction with the Chesaw Road (County road 9480). Turn left onto the Chesaw Road and drive 1.5 miles to the Beth Lake Campground entrance on your left.
