About

Belle Campground offers 18 first-come, first-served campsites surrounded by the distinctive boulder formations that define Joshua Tree National Park. Located off Pinto Basin Road between the North and South entrances, the campground provides excellent westward views perfect for watching desert sunsets. Sites feature picnic tables and fire pits, with vault toilets available year-round. This is a primitive campground with no water or hookups. Campers must bring all drinking water and supplies. To secure a site, locate an empty spot, occupy it with a tent or personal items, then proceed to an entrance station within one hour to complete registration and pay the $25 nightly fee. Late arrivals may defer payment until morning. A few sites (2, 4, 6-8, and 14-18) can accommodate RVs up to 35 feet overall length including towed vehicles. Generator use is restricted to 7-9 am, noon-2 pm, and 5-7 pm. The campground closes temporarily during summer months and campfires are prohibited park-wide from June 15 through October 1.
