Open — Open year-round with no fees. No reservations required. Campers must bring their own water as none is available on-site.
About
Beegum Gorge Campground is a small, primitive camping area situated along Beegum Creek in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. This tents-only site serves as a convenient base camp for exploring the surrounding South Fork Trinity River region and OHV trail systems. The campground offers a no-frills camping experience with partial shade and vault toilets. Campers must bring their own water as no potable water is available on-site. The remote location and lack of amenities make it ideal for self-sufficient campers seeking a quiet, rustic experience. No fees are charged for camping at Beegum Gorge. The facility is managed by the Hayfork Ranger District and provides access to nearby OHV trails including the Hayfork and Trinity OHV trail systems.
Directions
From Platina, head east on Highway 36 to Beegum Gorge Road, then proceed south to the campground.
