Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. No fees. No potable water available; bring your own water supply.
About
Beegum Gorge Campground is a tiny, primitive campground designed for tent campers seeking solitude in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Located near Beegum Creek in the Hayfork Ranger District, this partially shaded site provides a peaceful retreat and staging area for backcountry adventures, including OHV recreation in the surrounding area. The campground offers minimal amenities typical of dispersed-style Forest Service sites. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on-site, so campers must bring an adequate water supply. There is no fee to camp here, making it an economical option for self-sufficient campers comfortable with primitive conditions.
Directions
From Platina, head east on Highway 36 to Beegum Gorge Road, then proceed south to the campground.
