About

Beeds Lake State Park is located in Franklin County, Iowa, centered around a 99-acre reservoir created by a dam on Beeds Creek. The park features 138 campsites spread across multiple loops, offering options for tent camping, electric sites, and full hookup RV camping. Modern restrooms with showers serve both the east and west sections of the campground, and a sanitary dump station is available for RVs. The park's recreational offerings include a no-wake lake ideal for fishing and non-motorized boating, a modern boat ramp, fishing jetties and docks, swimming beach, and a scenic two-mile shoreline trail. A historic stone and timber beach building, originally constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, contains a kitchen and dining area available for group reservations. Campsites are 100% reservable through the Iowa state parks reservation system. The campground operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31, with peak season rates applying May 1 through October 15. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
