About

Beans Camp is a rustic backcountry campground nestled in the mountains of the Ukonom Ranger District, which is geographically within the Klamath National Forest boundary but administered by Six Rivers National Forest. The campground offers 6 primitive tent camping sites at an elevation of approximately 4,000 feet, providing a quiet retreat for campers seeking solitude. The campground operates seasonally from May through October, depending on road and weather conditions. Access is via Eyesee Road (Forest Road 15N01) heading south from Highway 96 in Orleans for about 17 miles, then turning onto Forest Road 12N22. The remote forest roads may require high-clearance vehicles, particularly early or late in the season. As a primitive facility, Beans Camp provides basic vault toilet facilities but minimal other amenities. Campers should come prepared with their own water supply and all necessary camping gear. The campground is free to use and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Directions

From Highway 96 in Orleans, head south on Eyesee Road (Forest Road 15N01) for approximately 17 miles, then turn onto Forest Road 12N22 to reach the campground.
