Bald Ridge Creek Campground occupies prime waterfront real estate on Lake Sidney Lanier, a popular 38,000-acre reservoir created in 1956 with the completion of Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River. The lake features 692 miles of shoreline and draws over 11 million visitors annually for fishing, boating, swimming, and water sports including kayaking, wake boarding, and jet skiing. The campground offers 82 sites with electric and water hookups, though no sewer connections. Facilities include hot showers, flush restrooms cleaned twice daily, laundry, and an on-site dump station. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and lantern pole. Virtually all sites are waterfront. Campers have access to a swimming beach, boat ramp, and playground. Originally an Army Corps of Engineers facility, Bald Ridge Creek is now co-managed by Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, which handles reservations and daily operations. The park gates lock from 10:30 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Stays are limited to 14 consecutive nights per 30-day period. America the Beautiful passes are honored for discounts.

From Atlanta, take SR 400 N to Exit 16, turn right on Pilgrim Mill Rd., turn right on Sinclair Shoals Rd., turn left on Bald Ridge Rd. Follow signs into campground.
