About

Bakers Hole Campground occupies a prime location along the Madison River in the Hebgen Lake District of Custer Gallatin National Forest. Situated just 3 miles north of West Yellowstone on US Highway 191, the campground provides easy access to the northwest entrance of Yellowstone National Park while offering a quieter Forest Service camping experience. The Madison River corridor here is renowned for its blue-ribbon trout fishing, and the campground features an accessible fishing platform. The campground contains 73 campsites spread across the riverside setting, with 33 sites offering electrical hookups for RV campers. Average parking spurs measure approximately 25 by 75 feet, accommodating most RV setups. Standard non-electric sites run $26 per night while electric sites are $35 per night, with fees covering two vehicles. Amenities include potable water, vault toilets, picnic tables at each site, fire rings, and trash pickup. Firewood bundles are available for purchase at $10 from the camp host. The campground is managed by ExplorUS under a Forest Service permit. Two sites are designated as accessible. There are no shower facilities or RV dump stations at Bakers Hole or any other ExplorUS-managed campground in the Custer Gallatin National Forest.
