About

Baker's Hole Campground is located along the scenic Madison River in the Hebgen Lake Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest, just 3 miles north of West Yellowstone on Highway 191. The campground offers 73 campsites at an elevation of approximately 6,500 feet, with 33 sites featuring electrical hookups and the remaining 40 as standard non-electric sites. The campground provides potable water from hand pumps, vault toilets including two accessible facilities, and firewood for sale at the host site. Average parking spurs measure 25' x 75', accommodating a variety of RV sizes. The Madison River runs through the campground, providing excellent fishing opportunities and scenic views. Its proximity to Yellowstone National Park makes Baker's Hole a highly sought-after destination during peak season. The campground is now reservation-based through Recreation.gov, managed by ExplorUS. Campers are limited to 16 consecutive days. The site includes amenities like picnic tables and fire pits at each campsite, trash service, and accessible facilities.
