Audra State Park Campground sits in a heavily wooded valley where the Middle Fork River carves through ancient rock formations in southwestern Barbour County, West Virginia. The park's 355 acres offer a rugged Appalachian setting with deep forests, sandstone cliffs, and clear river pools popular for swimming. Many campsites lie along the stream, providing easy access to the water. The campground features 65 sites, with 39 offering 30-amp electric hookups and the rest remaining primitive tent sites. Facilities include two bathhouses with flush toilets and showers, coin-operated laundry machines, and an RV dump station. A camp store near the entrance sells camping supplies, snacks, firewood, and bagged ice. The park's trail system, including the Alum Cave Trail and Rock Cliff Trail, starts within walking distance of the campground. Reservations are available online through the West Virginia State Parks booking system, by phone, or at the campground office. A two-night minimum applies on weekends (Friday-Saturday) while single-night stays are permitted Sunday through Thursday. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights.
