About
Aspen Campground is a primitive 7-site facility located near Gould, Colorado, approximately 22 miles southeast of Walden in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. Situated at 9,200 feet elevation along the South Fork of the Michigan River, the campground features a small loop nestled within a large grove of aspen trees with soil rich in Columbine flowers. The amount of shade varies by campsite, and cellular service is available.
This campground is best suited for tent camping and small trailers, with a maximum trailer length of 20 feet. Each campsite is equipped with a fire grate and picnic table. The facility offers potable water and a vault toilet, but no electric hookups or showers are available. Campers can stay up to 14 nights during one visit.
