About

Corral Park is a historic log cabin located in the Long Draw area of Roosevelt National Forest in Larimer County, Colorado. The original cabin at this site was constructed in 1916 by range permittees, with the current structure built in 1951. Over the years, the Forest Service rehabilitated the cabin with help from Historicorps volunteers, USFS staff, and contractors as part of the Poudre Headwaters Project. The cabin sleeps four guests and offers rustic accommodations including a wood stove for heating, propane generator for electricity, propane refrigerator, and propane lights. A vault toilet is located on site. The setting provides scenic views of the Mummy Range and access to the surrounding national forest lands, which are important habitat for greenback cutthroat trout conservation efforts. Access is via Long Draw Road (Forest Service Road 156), which departs from Colorado Highway 14 approximately 5 miles east of Cameron Pass. The unpaved road runs about 10 miles to Long Draw Reservoir and provides access to numerous trailheads including Corral Creek and Peterson Lake.

Directions

From Fort Collins, take US-287 north to Colorado Highway 14 west. Continue on Highway 14 toward Cameron Pass. Approximately 5 miles east of Cameron Pass, turn onto Long Draw Road (Forest Service Road 156). The cabin is located off Long Draw Road.
