About

Alpine Divide Campground is tucked away in a picturesque setting at the foot of Escudilla Mountain in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. At 8,479 feet elevation, this quiet campground sits in a cool grove of ponderosa pines just four miles north of Alpine, Arizona. The campground features 12 sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and cooking grills, though hookups are not available. A concrete accessible site is available for visitors with mobility needs. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Amenities include vault toilets and trash dumpsters during the operating season, but no potable water is available on-site, so campers must bring adequate drinking water. The maximum RV length is 12 feet, making this campground best suited for tent camping and small trailers. The location serves as an excellent base for exploring the White Mountains region. Hiking trails are accessible from the campground, and the nearby town of Alpine offers gas, groceries, restaurants, and equipment rental. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. The campground maintains a 14-day stay limit and charges $10 per night, with a $5 rate for holders of Interagency Senior or Access passes.
