About
Little Isabella River Campground is a small, secluded 11-site campground in a grove of red and white pines in the central part of Superior National Forest, located just 4.5 miles west of Isabella, Minnesota. The campground lies among towering red pines at an elevation of 1,900 feet in a scenic and secluded setting. The Little Isabella River, a small stream with occasional riffles, is a popular fishing spot for brook trout.
This is an excellent campground for campers seeking a quiet spot in the woods without modern amenities. All sites are back-in only and most are suitable for small RVs of 24 feet or less. Four sites offer ride-in and ride-out OHV opportunities, connected to the Forest OHV system by a short quarter-mile trail. Four sites are also available for long-term seasonal reservations. The surrounding national forest offers opportunities for hiking, canoeing, hunting, berry and mushroom picking, wildlife viewing, and stargazing.
