Loganville Campground is located along the North Yuba River in Tahoe National Forest, about 1.5 miles west of Sierra City on Highway 49. The campground offers 19 campsites arranged in two loops within a scenic forest of oak, pine, and fir trees that provide ample shade. One loop meanders up a hillside while the other sits on level ground. Visitors enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities including fishing for rainbow and brook trout in the North Yuba River, swimming, gold panning, hiking, and mountain biking. Over 30 miles of maintained trails for hiking, mountain biking, and motorcycle singletrack branch out across the area, and the Pacific Crest Trail can be accessed at several spots east of Sierra City and in the Gold Lakes Basin area. Nearby Sardine Lakes, about nine miles east, offers boating, fishing, and swimming opportunities. The historic and scenic town of Sierra City is a short drive from the campground and offers lodging, dining, grocery stores, boutique shops, and cultural attractions. The campground is also located near two attractions: Kentucky Mine and Sierra County Historic Park. The Gold Lakes Basin area provides additional opportunities for boating, fishing, biking, and hiking.
