The campground operates mid-May through mid-September. Currently open first-come, first-served with some reservable sites available starting May 25. A host is present during the season. Drinking water is available from a hand pump when seasonal systems are operational.

Oklahoma Campground is nestled in the Mt. Adams Ranger District of Gifford Pinchot National Forest, offering 15 sites in a peaceful setting along the Little White Salmon River. The campground occupies a flat, partly wooded area with some open meadow, shaded by large hemlock, cedar, maple, and fir trees. Sites include standard single sites and a double site (012/013) that accommodates up to 16 people. Fishing and wading for brook and rainbow trout is permitted in the adjacent Little White Salmon River. The Monte Carlo Trail #52 is accessible directly from the campground, offering opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Big Lava Bed, featuring basalt lava formations and pine forest, lies just west of the campground. The campground's proximity to the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Adams makes it an excellent base for exploring the broader region. Amenities include vault toilets, seasonal potable water from a hand pump, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site.

Directions

From Vancouver, WA, proceed east on SR 14 to mile post 56.5 to Cook-Underwood Road. Exit left onto Cook-Underwood Road and continue for 5 miles through Mill A to Willard Road. Bear left onto Willard Road into Willard and continue north on Oklahoma Road for 8 miles (to end of asphalt road) to the campground entrance. From the east, go 1.7 miles from the Hood River Bridge, cross the White Salmon River and turn right onto Cook-Underwood Road. Continue for 8 miles to mile post 6, turn right onto Willard Road, then right at the stop sign onto Oklahoma Road and proceed 8 miles north to the campground.
