About
Buck Creek campground occupies a scenic spot on the Arkansas side of Bull Shoals Lake, a 71,000-acre reservoir fed by the White River. The campground provides 38 shaded sites, nearly all equipped with 30-amp electric and water hookups. Facilities include flush toilets, showers, a dump station, drinking water, a boat launch ramp, designated swimming area, playground, and picnic shelter. The location offers convenient access to the Peel Ferry, the last remaining state-operated ferry in Arkansas, which crosses Bull Shoals Lake and connects Highway 125 between Arkansas and Missouri. This provides campers with easy access to the lower stretches of the lake. Bull Shoals Lake draws jet skiers, water skiers, anglers, birders, and hikers. Fall visitors can catch the Flaming Fall Revue celebration showcasing the area's foliage. Nearby Bull Shoals-White River State Park offers hiking trails including Big Bluff Trail with White River views and the Lakeside Trail along the shore.
