About
Buck Creek campground is located on the Arkansas side of Bull Shoals Lake, offering 38 shaded campsites in a scenic lakeside setting. All but two sites have electric hookups, making it suitable for RV and tent campers alike. The campground provides convenient access to the massive 71,000-acre Bull Shoals Lake, fed by the White River and surrounded by hardwoods and cedar trees. The campground serves as a departure point for the Peel Ferry, Arkansas's last remaining state-operated ferry, which connects Highway 125 from Arkansas to Missouri, saving travelers a 50-mile drive around the lake. Buck Creek caters to families with a playground and designated swimming area, while boaters can utilize the on-site boat launch ramp to access the lake's excellent opportunities for jet skiing, water skiing, and fishing. The surrounding area attracts visitors year-round, with fall foliage drawing crowds for the annual Flaming Fall Revue celebration. Nearby Bull Shoals-White River State Park offers hiking trails including the Big Bluff Trail with views of the White River below Bull Shoals Dam, and the Lakeside Trail along the lake shores. The campground's location provides an ideal base for those seeking water sports, fishing, hiking, or simply a peaceful retreat in the Ozark region.
