Spivey Cove Campground offers a peaceful retreat in the Cherokee National Forest, tucked into a hollow approximately 12 miles upstream from Tellico Plains. This small, primitive campground features 16 sites and caters to campers seeking a quiet, back-to-basics experience along the Tellico River corridor. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis only, with no advance reservations available. All sites are $6 per night, with a 50% discount available to Interagency Senior and Access Pass holders. Payment can be made on-site via cash or check, or through the Recreation.gov mobile app using the Scan and Pay feature. Campers should download the app before arrival, as cellular service in the area is limited. The campground provides vault toilets but no drinking water; potable water is available at nearby campgrounds along the Tellico River. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and food storage restrictions apply throughout Cherokee National Forest. To reach Spivey Cove Campground from Tellico Plains, take TN 165 for approximately 5 miles, then turn right onto Forest Road 210, passing the Ranger Station. The campground is located about 12 miles upstream along this forest road.
