The exact amount, intensity, timing, and location of the rain that will occur is still uncertain. These outlook stages are provided to show what may be expected if the forecast precipitation occurs. Once there is more certainty about the river forecasts, a flood warning or statement will be issued if the threat materializes.

ESFILX This hydrologic outlook includes the following river in Illinois: Sangamon River... The heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours is causing rises along many area rivers...with additional rainfall expected this evening. The latest forecast for the Sangamon River at Monticello has the river approaching, but remaining below flood stage at the current time. If additional river rises are forecast then a flood warning may be issued. Stay updated on the latest information in case a flooding threat materializes.

The City of Sullivan Water Department has asked all users of this recreation area to conserve the use of water. Low water supply levels are a result of last year’s drought conditions. This request is an effort to keep Bo Woods recreation area open. Please only fill tanks for what you plan to use on site.
