About

Prospect Campground is a small primitive camping area in the Angeles National Forest, situated in the scenic Bouquet Canyon region of the San Gabriel Mountains. Unlike the larger developed campgrounds in the forest, Prospect offers a more rustic, backcountry experience without campground fees. The campground is located in the Santa Clara/Mojave Rivers Ranger District area, accessible via Bouquet Canyon Road north of Santa Clarita. As an undeveloped primitive site, campers should expect minimal amenities and should come prepared with their own water supply and gear for a self-sufficient camping experience. The surrounding Angeles National Forest offers hiking, wildlife viewing, and access to the greater San Gabriel Mountains recreation area. While no fees are charged for camping, a National Forest Adventure Pass or America the Beautiful Pass may be required for vehicle parking.

Directions

From Santa Clarita, take Bouquet Canyon Road north into Angeles National Forest. The campground is located in the Bouquet Canyon area approximately 15 miles north of Valencia.
