About

Woodcamp Campground occupies a forested setting of pine and fir trees along the western shore of Jackson Meadow Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest. The reservoir sits in a rolling forested valley with views of the Sierra Crest and English Mountain. All 20 single-family campsites include a picnic table and campfire ring, with flush and vault toilets and drinking water available in the campground. The Woodcamp Recreation Area provides excellent access to water-based recreation. The reservoir supports rainbow and brown trout fishing, and a boat ramp and designated swim beach are located within the recreation area. Note that motorized boats are currently prohibited due to Golden Mussel prevention protocols; non-motorized watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are permitted. A half-mile interpretive nature trail winds through the campground, and a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail runs along the east side of the lake. The surrounding area offers opportunities for hiking, biking, and hunting. The Grouse Ridge Non-Motorized Area and Bowman corridor lakes provide additional recreation nearby.
