Wekiwa Springs State Park Campground
The campground is open following completion of the 2025 waterline infrastructure project. Reservations required through Florida State Parks reservation system and can be made 1 day to 11 months in advance. Park gates open 8 a.m. to sundown year-round; campers arriving after sunset should call the park before 5 p.m. that day for the gate combination.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Leesburg, Eustis, Tavares, Mount Dora, and Howey-In-the-hills.

Located just 10 miles from Orlando, Wekiwa Springs State Park Campground provides an accessible natural retreat in Central Florida. The 60 wooded campsites are nestled among rolling sandhills featuring longleaf pine flatwoods and scrub habitat, home to deer, black bears, and numerous bird species. Each site comes equipped with water and electric hookups, a fire ring with grill grate, and a picnic table, with some sites also offering sewer connections. The campground facilities include two accessible restroom buildings with hot showers located within the camping loops, plus a dump station for RV waste disposal. Sites can accommodate recreational vehicles up to 50 feet in length, making it suitable for larger rigs. Pets are welcome in the campground on a 6-foot leash. Beyond camping, the park offers a first-magnitude spring with year-round 72-degree water perfect for swimming, as well as the Wekiva River for paddling adventures. Thirteen miles of multi-use trails wind through the park's diverse ecosystems. Primitive backcountry camping is also available at Otter Camp and Big Buck Camp along Rock Springs Run, accessible only by canoe or kayak.
Directions
From Interstate 4, take Exit 94 and head west on Wekiva Springs Road for approximately 4 miles. Turn right into the park entrance at 1800 Wekiwa Circle, Apopka, FL 32712. From Highway 429 in the west, take Lester Road east to Welch Road, then follow signs to the park.
