Blue Spring State Park Campground sits in the sand pine scrub of Volusia County, offering 51 sites that accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. Each site includes water and 30-amp electric hookups, a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. Two modern bathhouses provide flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities, with full ADA accessibility. A dump station serves RV campers, and a camp store stocks essentials. The campground's location puts you within walking distance of Blue Spring, a first-magnitude spring that discharges over 100 million gallons of 72-degree water daily into the St. Johns River. From mid-November through March, swimming is prohibited as the spring run becomes a critical warm-water refuge for West Indian manatees. Outside manatee season (April 1 through November 14), the spring is open for swimming, snorkeling, and paddling. Six two-bedroom cabins are also available nearby in a shady oak hammock. The park features a boat ramp, kayak rentals, playground, and hiking trails including the 4.5-mile Pine Island Trail. Due to the park's popularity, it frequently reaches capacity and may close temporarily during peak times.

Directions

From I-4, take exit 114 onto SR 472 and head northeast for 3.5 miles to US 17/92 south. Go south 1.5 miles toward Orange City, then turn right (west) on W. French Avenue. The park entrance is 3 miles ahead at 2100 W. French Ave., Orange City.
