Bethpage State Park is a premier day-use recreational facility on Long Island, best known for its five world-class golf courses. The crown jewel is the Black Course, which has hosted the U.S. Open Championship in 2002 and 2009, the Barclays in 2012 and 2016, the PGA Championship in 2019, and will host the 2025 Ryder Cup. Beyond golf, the park offers diverse recreational opportunities including playing fields, tennis courts, bridle paths, and trails for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing in winter. The park features comprehensive amenities including a restaurant and catering facilities, a golf pro shop, and a driving range. Two large pavilions, Eagle and Bluebird, are available for reservation and can accommodate up to 250 people each. These pavilions are popular for group gatherings and events. The park is open year-round with a vehicle entry fee, though hours vary by season. Reservations for pavilions must be made at least 14 days in advance and become available starting February 1st each year.
