About

The Cottage at Sailors Haven provides a secluded getaway within Fire Island National Seashore, offering one of the few overnight lodging options managed by the National Park Service on Fire Island. This small cottage includes one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a living area with a full-sized sofabed, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, oven, range, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, and all necessary cookware, plus an outdoor deck featuring a grill and shower. Guests can walk to the lifeguarded Atlantic Ocean beach, explore the Sunken Forest via boardwalk trails, go clamming in the Great South Bay, or enjoy ranger-led programs. The nearby LoveFINS concessions at Sailors Haven Marina offer food, beverages, and a general store. The historic town of Cherry Grove is approximately a 3/4 mile walk west via boardwalks, providing restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Access is by ferry only from Sayville, Long Island (41 River Road) or from Cherry Grove. Guests must provide their own bed sheets and towels. Pillows and light blankets are included. No pets, smoking, or open fires are permitted. A $250 refundable security deposit is required.
