About

Two Points Group Campground sits in a scenic location above Lake Vesuvius in the Wayne National Forest's Ironton Unit, positioned between the beach and boat launch area. This group-only facility can accommodate up to 50 people and allows up to 10 tents on site. The campground features a 16' x 20' covered picnic shelter with 4 tables inside and 3 additional tables in the surrounding area, providing ample space for group gatherings. The site is equipped with 6 fire rings and 4 barbecue grills distributed throughout the camping area, along with access to drinking water from a hydrant. Recreation amenities include horseshoe pits and proximity to an amphitheater. The Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area offers additional activities including swimming at the beach, boating, fishing on the 143-acre lake, and hiking trails through the rugged, scenic terrain of southeastern Ohio. Reservations are required and can be made through Recreation.gov. The campground operates seasonally, typically from mid-April through late October, with payment accepted by cash or check at a rate of $35 per night.

Directions

Located 6.5 miles north of Ironton, Ohio, just off State Route 93. Turn on County Road 29 and follow signs to Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area (1 mile). Turn left at the entrance, go past the lake and boat dock. The campground is approximately one mile up this road on the left across from Pine Knob Campground.
