About
Tomoka State Park Campground provides 100 full-facility campsites nestled in a scenic hammock along the Tomoka River, where ancient Timucuan Indians once thrived. Each site is equipped with electric and water hookups, picnic table, and grill, accommodating RVs up to 34 feet in length. The campground features three restroom facilities with hot showers, two of which are ADA-accessible, plus a dump station and laundry facilities for registered campers. The park sits at the confluence of the Tomoka and Halifax Rivers, offering exceptional opportunities for paddling, boating, and fishing. The waters are home to over 90 fish species including red drum, snook, and tarpon, though the area is also a designated manatee sanctuary requiring cautious navigation. A boat ramp provides river access, while canoe and kayak rentals are available at the on-site camp store. Beyond water activities, visitors can explore a half-mile interpretive trail through hardwood hammock and the ancient Timucuan village of Nocoroco, bike the Tomoka Hiking and Biking Trail, or enjoy wildlife viewing year-round. The park protects diverse habitats where white-tailed deer, gopher tortoises, bobcats, and numerous bird species thrive among the oaks and marshes.
