About

Bennett Field Campground sits within Tiger Bay State Forest, a 27,000-acre expanse of woodlands and wetlands that serves as a critical aquifer recharge area for the Daytona Beach region. The forest encompasses Indian Lake, Scoggin Lake, and several smaller ponds, providing excellent opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, hunting, bird watching, and wildlife photography. The campground offers six primitive campsites, including five that accommodate RVs up to 30 feet and one tent-only site. Each site features a fire ring, grill, and picnic table. Shared facilities include a vault toilet and a pitcher pump providing non-potable water. There are no hookups, showers, or dump stations, making this a true primitive camping experience. Access requires a gate combination provided in your reservation confirmation email. The campground is located in bear country, so proper food storage practices are recommended. Reservations are made through the Florida State Forests ReserveAmerica portal.
