Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area Campground

Named after Florida folk musician Gamble Rogers, this state recreation area occupies a narrow barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway in Flagler Beach. The campground is divided into two distinct loops: the Beachside Campground (sites 1-34) sits atop the primary dune offering direct beach access and ocean views, while the Riverside Campground (sites 35-68) provides a quieter setting along the Intracoastal Waterway with opportunities for fishing and kayaking. All 68 campsites feature water and electric hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings, accommodating both tent campers and RVs. Beach sites can handle RVs up to 47 feet, while some riverside sites accommodate units up to 60 feet. The park offers flush restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, and laundry facilities. A boat ramp provides access to the Intracoastal Waterway for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The park is open year-round from 8 a.m. until sundown. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system. The uncrowded beach is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and shelling, while the waterway side offers excellent birding and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Located at 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd in Flagler Beach, FL off Highway A1A. The park sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, approximately 25 miles south of St. Augustine and 30 miles north of Daytona Beach.
