About
Tolland State Forest Campground sits on a scenic peninsula extending into Otis Reservoir in the rolling southern Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. The 1,065-acre reservoir serves as the centerpiece of the forest, drawing anglers seeking trout and bass, boaters using the public launch ramp, and swimmers enjoying the designated beach area.
The campground offers 93 sites spread across several loops, with many featuring direct waterfront access. Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and bear-resistant food storage locker. Three comfort stations are distributed throughout the campground, providing flush toilets and hot showers. Sites accommodate both tents and RVs up to approximately 35 feet, though all sites are back-in only with no hookups available.
Beyond the water-based recreation, Tolland State Forest features multi-use trails open year-round for hiking and mountain biking. The forest's location in the Berkshires makes it a good base for exploring the surrounding region's attractions.
