About

Goldenrod Loop Group Site is part of Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area in Perry County, Indiana, within the Hoosier National Forest. The group camping area can accommodate up to 65 people across five campsites, making it suitable for scout troops, family reunions, and other organized groups. The site includes vault toilets, potable drinking water, and one 30-amp electrical hookup. Showers are located in the main campground area. Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area sits on a 131-acre lake offering fishing for panfish and bass, boating with electric motors only, and a sandy swimming beach with bathhouse facilities. The 5.9-mile Tipsaw Trail provides hiking and mountain biking opportunities through the surrounding hardwood forest. Mountain biking requires a permit. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov with a three-day advance window. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 6 AM. No hardwood firewood may be brought in unless certified by the USDA or IDNR; campers must use dead, downed material found on-site. No pets are allowed on the beach, though they are permitted in the campground.
