About
Catbrier Loop sits within the Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area, a 155-acre recreational complex nestled in the rolling hills of Hoosier National Forest in Perry County, Indiana. The loop is purpose-built for RV camping, featuring 10 sites with paved driveways, 50-amp electrical service, and water hookups. Pull-through sites are available for rigs up to 102 feet, making this one of the most big-rig-friendly options in the forest. The recreation area offers a full suite of amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, and a modern bathhouse. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. A dump station is located across Highway 37 from the entrance. The adjacent 170-acre Tipsaw Lake provides swimming at an accessible beach with changing rooms and washing stations. Beyond camping, the area features a 5.9-mile hiking and mountain biking trail that loops around the lake with scenic overlooks.
