About

Indian-Celina Lake Recreation Area is a peaceful destination in southern Indiana's Hoosier National Forest, situated on two lakes known for excellent panfishing. Celina Lake (164 acres) and Indian Lake (152 acres) offer miles of shoreline and coves for fishing largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, and crappie. An accessible fishing pier is available on Celina Lake. Only electric and non-motorized boats are permitted on the lakes. The campground provides approximately 60 sites across two loops: Northface and Southslope. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, and electric hookups at select sites. Paved parking surfaces accommodate both tent and RV campers. Nearby attractions include the historic Jacob Rickenbaugh House, built from sandstone blocks in 1874, which is open periodically for tours. The adjacent historic cemetery and the 1-mile Rickenbaugh Interpretive Trail provide easy exploration. The 16-mile Two Lakes Loop National Recreation Trail encircles both lakes for longer hikes through hardwood and pine forests.
