About

South Slope Loop sits within the Indian-Celina Lakes Recreation Area in Hoosier National Forest, approximately two miles south of Interstate 64 off Indiana State Route 37. The loop contains over 20 electric campsites with 30-amp service, all featuring back-in gravel driveways, fire rings with grills, and full shade coverage. Modern facilities include flush restrooms, hot showers, and centralized potable water. Celina Lake (164 acres) and neighboring Indian Lake (152 acres) are renowned as two of the premier panfishing lakes in southern Indiana. An accessible fishing pier on Celina Lake provides shoreline access. Only electric and non-motorized watercraft are allowed, maintaining a quiet atmosphere for fishing and paddling. A boat ramp provides year-round lake access. The recreation area also features day-use picnic facilities and proximity to historic sites within Hoosier National Forest. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov, with both single and double electric sites offered.

Directions

From Interstate 64, take Exit 79 and head south on Indiana State Route 37 for approximately 2 miles. The Indian-Celina Lakes Recreation Area entrance will be on your right near St. Croix.
