TeleLi puLaya (Black Oak) Campground opened in 2014 and offers 22 well-maintained campsites, including 2 group sites, in the Stanislaus National Forest. The campground provides spectacular panoramic views of the Stanislaus River Canyon from its location near Beardsley Reservoir. The facility features paved main roads and parking pads, making it accessible for various camping setups. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and metal fire ring. Potable water is available from shared hydrants serving multiple sites. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis during its seasonal operation. Located 7 miles from Highway 108 via Beardsley Dam Road, the campground sits approximately 5 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station turnoff. The remote location provides a peaceful camping experience away from the main highway corridor. While there are no hiking trails directly to Beardsley Reservoir from the campground, the surrounding Stanislaus National Forest offers extensive recreational opportunities throughout the region.
Directions
From Highway 108, turn left at the Beardsley Dam sign, located 5 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station. Continue on Beardsley Reservoir Road for approximately 7 miles to reach the campground.
