About
Beardsley Dam Campground is a 16-site campground located near Beardsley Dam at the south end of Beardsley Reservoir in Stanislaus National Forest. The campground provides a solid base for exploring the reservoir area, though there are no designated trails directly connecting the campground to the water. Facilities include paved main roads and parking pads, vault toilets, potable water from faucets, and trash service. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and metal fire ring. Walk-in sites have gravel surfaces. The campground accommodates vehicles up to 36 feet and enforces a maximum 14-day stay. Quiet hours run from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and sites are limited to 6 people each. Horses and pack animals are not permitted. The campground operates April through October and is first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. Fees for 2026 are $30 per night for single sites and $60 for double sites. America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes receive a 50% discount. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m. and check-out is at noon.
Directions
From Highway 108, turn left at the Beardsley Dam sign located 5 miles east of Summit Ranger Station. Follow Beardsley Road (Forest Road 5N02) for 7 miles, crossing the dam to reach the campground.
